Sara Lowe

Sara Lowe

Sara Lowe has over 35 years of knowledge and experience in the horse industry. She has worked with colts and troubled horses from the east coast to the west coast. Her journey along the way has ebbed and flowed and her horsemanship has grown and expanded along the way. From a 4-H student riding hunter jumpers and western pleasure, to a successful member of the University of Wyoming’s Intercollegiate Equestrian Team. After college she became certified as a riding instructor through the Certified Horsemanship Association and then began working on various Dude Ranches. She moved to Dubois, Wyoming to run a 60 head remuda for several years and was in charge of breeding, training and sales. She was offered a job in Eagle Point, Oregon where she spent several years starting gaited horses including; Rocky Mountain, Kentucky Mountain and Tennessee Walking horses.  Sara has been a C.H.A. Riding Instructor, a clinician and most importantly a lifelong student of the horse. She proudly owned a magazine company called the “Sale Yard” that marketed horses, tack and trailers on-line and in print from California to Washington. Unfortunately in 2008 the economy crashed and Sara’s life took a detour.

Sara’s journey took a turn from horsemanship for a short time when she took a job as a police officer and later a Detective and Livestock Investigator for the Sheriff’s Office. However, it wasn’t long into her career before she was able to blend her love of all things horse with her new career as a law enforcement officer. This new adventure helped her to become a Mounted Enforcement Instructor through the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy. Sara currently teaches a week long 40 hour Mounted Enforcement class annually to certify officers and their equine partners. Throughout the spring and summer, she travels with her Confidence Course Clinics which are a melting pot of her horsemanship philosophies, some of her mounted enforcement exercises blended with mindfulness and energy work.

Throughout her journey, Sara is always evolving and growing. She feels closely drawn to the ideas and philosophies of Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt. Sara has ridden in Ray Hunt and Bryan Neubert’s clinics helping her validate her timing and feel. She has attended a number of other clinics with various clinicians and is constantly adding to her knowledge and skill set.

Sara feels passionately about helping people better themselves and their relationship with their horses. This journey has taught her life skills that help conquer fear and anxiety both in her everyday world and with her horsemanship. Books like Eckhart Tolle’s “The Power of Now”, Tom Dorrance’s “True Unity” and Ray Hunt’s “Think Harmony with Horses” have been a part of molding Sara into the Teacher and Life Coach that she is today. Sara’s clinics hold tools and valuable information designed to benefit people battling fear issues and emotional traumas.

Sara’s clinics are constantly growing and evolving and she wants to share the wisdom and insight she has gained along the way. She blends her interest in philosophy with horsemanship, and has created a positive environment that enhances the communication and partnership between horse and human.
